The NATO summit in Chicago: dress code → chicagotribune.com

While Rex’s take on the NATO summit is hilarious, this part about what people should wear is actually true:

Some downtown Chicago companies are encouraging employees to dress down so as to better blend in with the thousands of protesters who will be spending their hard-earned vacation time here. Unfortunately, simply wearing khakis or a casual pantsuit won’t be enough.

This might be the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard. If you dress to blend in more with the protesters, doesn’t that increase the chance of you being caught up in a protest and arrested if things get out of control? “I went to get a sandwich and got arrested!”

It’s quite a piece about Obama supporting gay marriage. She wasn’t expecting the announcement, and was even surprised at how much it meant to her personally when he said it.
